Been on valsartan 80mg for 5 months, recently lowered to 40mg because of nausea and high anxiety, blood tests ok, bp stayed the same (110-115/76) with 40mg. waiting for sleep apnea treatment, should i get off the med or change it? doctor is confused?

It takes 2 weeks after the dose change you will reach baseline blood pressure. After successful treatment for sleep apnea, if blood pressure stays below 110/70, dose can be reduced in 1/2, i.e. 20 mg/day. Then one month later, if BP stays below 110/70, Valsartan can be held.
