A member asked:

Consequences of removing my braces 3 months into treatment, will they move back to their original position? will they end up worse ? will my teeth still be healthy ?

It all depends on what the teeth were like before braces and for how long. Best is to follow direction of your dentist

Why did you get braces if you are not ready to follow the treatment plan. Your teeth will shift back to original position. Why waste time and money, if you desire a proper bite ,better appearance, and a healthy mouth than finish the treatment plan.

Poor decision. Teeth are no longer where they started, they are in the process of being optimized. Removing appliances will mean movement is no longer being controlled. Your teeth may shift back, but may also move into even more problematic relationships. I assume you are seeing a specialist Orthodontist. Discuss this with him/her. Your Orthodontist will be able to give you a personalized answer.
