It's difficult to track down what causes a mildly high percentage of basophils (mild basophilia). Your number is 2.2 and unchanged after 3 months so there is nothing to concern. If it is higher than 5%, further work-up may be indicated.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the apparently high basophil count is trivial and not of any concern. Wish you good health!
