This is a topic of controversy between USPSTF, American Urology Association and American Cancer Society. By UPTODATE: "The best available evidence from randomized trials found that screening has at most a small benefit in reducing prostate cancer mortality. Screening has no benefit in reducing overall mortality". If you aren't in high risk group, discuss risk and benefit thoroughly with your PMD.
