Very good evening doctors. my psa is 1.32. digital rectal examination revealed smooth prostate. if i want to check for possible prostate cancer in the future, how often should i repeat the psa blood test and recheck the digital rectal examination?

Per American Cancer Society guidelines, you can repeat screening with PSA every 1-2 years.

Your PSA is excellent for your age. If no problems, than a yearly exam is sufficient, As you get older always be aware and see if you have any family history, and if so than twice a year is recommended.
