When i visit the dentist 90% of the time i get a cold sore outbreak (i have been having cold sores since i was 5 years old). my last outbreak was 4 days after dental cleaning. i have fillings to be done and dreading it. how do i prevent outbreak?

You have a history of cold sores due to stress and anxiety of going to the dentist. You need to relax, take a small 5mg of valium before treatment. You can request an antiviral drug such as FAMVIR or VALTREX. Check with your doctor.
