Iron Pill induced gastritis is commonly noted in persons who take Iron pills daily. The iron accumulates in mucosal deposits and can lead to erosions. One option is to switch to liquid iron supplements, as they are much less likely to result in deposits and erosion. Another is to talk to your Dr about IV infusions. Treating the gastritis with omeprazole is only partially effective.
