37 yr asian female has thalassemia minor fbc test ferritin 12ug/l range 12.00-250.00ug/l. gp to give ferrous sulfate prescription dose.concerned gp not taking into account my thalassemia minor in result if it's accurate value , worry iron overload?

Thalassemia Minor creates anemia, but iron replacement is generally not useful if ferritin levels are below 100. See a board certified hematologist for accurate assessment of T. Minor.
