Amitriptyline is not commonly included in urine drug screens or not tested for. Sometimes amitriptyline can cause a false positive for LSD, but as long as the individual being tested informs the testing entity about all drugs being taken as prescribed, it cannot be held against the patient.

Amitriptyline is not tested for in the usual urine drug screen panel. Taking a drug does not cause a positive result, if the particular drug is not tested for. Common substances tested are opiates, amphetamines, marijuana, and benzos etc. Visit this site for info: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/326305
