Platelet count of 402 is not uncommon, you should not worry about it.

Any inflammation may be associated with elevated platelet count. An additional unrelated cause may be iron deficiency. Iron deficiency is not uncommon in women of reproductive age due to menstrual blood loss. You may take oral iron and multivitamins to cover iron deficiency.
