If you experience trouble breathing or fever a secondary infection may necessitate a course of antibiotics. The cough should subside by day 21, but if a chronic cough persists please see your physician.

Relatively common. For as long as still improving the cough will help you clear all remaining secretions following infection. If cough worsens or becomes dry and persistent see your doc for an exam and treatment.
