Endocrinologist checked my tsh last time & adjusted synthroid dose based on results. now want to check where my tsh stands after dosage adjustment.pcp ordered tsh with reflex ft4, would testing only tsh(like before dose adjustent) be more accurate?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, TSH with reflex to Free T4 is a more appropriate test for thyroid function evaluation. Wish you good health!

Hi! I got lab work from my doctor. Both the T4 Total (7.0) and Free T4 (1.5) I think are normal. TSH is 0.47 and T3 is 73, which I think are both low--should I see an endocrinologist with these results? Do I need CT or MRI to check anything further?
