A member asked:

Finally im having an echo tomorrow to confirm or rule out myocarditis. what question should i ask the cardiologist. is it an echo enough to rule it out. thanks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is my understanding that myocarditis is confirmed by a combination of studies, including blood tests for heart related indicators, an electrocardiogram and a cardiac ultrasound. The approach from these 3 angles creates a better picture of the extent of the problem it it exists.
