It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor. You may take acetaminophen for the pain, no more than 4 g in one day, no alcohol. Wish you good health!

Probably due to spasm of one of the deep muscles of the neck. Massage may be helpful but you should seek evaluation if there are any symptoms of pain or numbness that extend down either arm.
