I am not sure if i have a abscessed tooth or salivary gland issue. my left salivary gland is swollen in paratoid. i have a dental appt in two weeks but ent can get me in sooner. should i get into ent too? im keeping dental appt too. thanks?

Yes, an ENT exam should be great in helping with properly diagnosing your condition. In case this proves to be only a dental abscess you have you dental appointment in place.

start with the dentist and rule out dental causes. could be a blockage of a salivary duct, too

You could have either, both, or something else entirely. You need to be examined to be properly diagnosed and thus properly treated. Your swelling should be evaluated immediately. If your Dentist can't see you for an emergency appointment, see an Oral Surgeon or Endodontist. If services of an ENT are required, you will be referred.
