Is it possible to develop a infection in the top right wisdom tooth after it was removed ? its about 10 days after the removal and im worried i have an infection . i did the antibiotics for a week and have been rinsing with saltwater ?

YOU ARE FOLLOWING THE PROPER PROTOCOL FOR A WISDOM TOOTH EXTRACTION. IF YOU HAD AN INFECTION YOUR FACE WOULD BE SWOLLEN AND SLIGHT PAIN AND A BAD TASTE. YOU ARE DUE TO GO BACK TO THE DENTIST FOR A VISIT TO CHECK THE HEALING,CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT NOW.

Possible, but not likely. Contact the Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon that treated you and knows the surgical site best. (S)he is responsible for our post-surgical care. Call and relate your symptoms to see if you have to be reexamined and/or need additional medication.
