I have a routine dental appointment on wednesday. i currently have strep throat. i was diagnosed today (sunday) & started my first dose (2 pills) of z-pak. since i will have been on antibiotics for more than 24 hours, is it okay to keep my appt?

It is advised to post pond your routine Dental check up &wait till your symptoms disappears which may take a week .

It takes 48-72 hours for antibiotic to be fully effective. It's not fair to your Dentist or his/her staff to keep an elective appointment if you have any type of infection. Push your appointment back a week or two.
