Ive just taken my 4th antibiotic pill for strep. my dosage is one every 12 hours of amox-clav. its not getting better, throat looks bad. normal?

Strep throat: It typically takes a week or more for strep throat symptoms to clear with antibiotics. It's also possible your symptoms are primarily due to a respiratory virus, and not the strep -- and no virus responds to any antibiotic. Keep taking the drug as prescribed and discuss with your doctor if symptoms persist beyond a week of treatment. Good luck!
