Bleeding gingiva = inflammation. The inflammation can be due to bacteria stuck to your teeth (calculus) or nestled in the pockets around your teeth. Without an exam with radiographs it is not possible to tell if you have gingivitis or periodontitis. The later cannot be treated with toothpastes or mouthwashes. Please see your local dentist for further guidance.

YOu should visit with a dental professional. BLeeding gums are usually a sign of underlying disease. Listerine can help reduce bleeding but it won't cure the problem.

Most common cause of bleeding gums is inflammatory gum disease, usually from failure to floss) a bacterial infection. There are rare systemic problems that are possibilities, but not probabilities. Sounds liken you are well past a "cure" by OTYC's alone. Start w your De nits or a gum specialist Periodontist. Remember that brushing only reaches ~65% of y0our gums.
