Water pick should be used horizontally in the inter proximal space of teeth near gum margin. You can keep the tip near the teeth surface inter proximally and it does not have to touch teeth but if you do touch by mistake is not terrible just try to be away to see the water jet going to the teeth area you want to remove plaque inter proximally. Instructions are in the Water pick Package .. .
