A member asked:

My recent iron: 90 (range 41-186 ug/dl). ferritin 78 (range 14.7-205 ng/ml). 2 months ago, iron 80 - ferritin 60. i'm eating healthier, iron rich foods with vitamin c foods to achieve more optimal ranges. is it encouraging that numbers are higher?

Yes. All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your results have improved and are in the normal range. Wish you good health!
