A member asked:

Is h.pylori dangerous and what is the likelihood that it can cause gastric cancer?what should i do once i get a positive result?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Positive presence of "H. pylori" can be co-existent with gastric ulcers, and increase the frequency of gastric malignancy if not treated. See a GI specialist for possible endoscopy and biopsy, and if negative, treatment with proton inhibitors .
