A member asked:

4 months ago can't take in deep breath. took breathing test, doc says results better than normal. i'm 30, exsmoker no cancer. can gastric gas cause it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If very gas-bloated: A person who "can't take a deep breath" (which may mean different things to different people) can write down his daily symptoms on a big calendar, and get rechecked by his primary care doctor. A pulmonologist, an allergy/asthma specialist, and a cardiologist can help. A rheumatologist and an orthopedic doctor can help if there a problem with the ribs, cartilage, spine, or muscles is suspected.
