Need different antibiotic. Unfortunately many bacteria are resistant to amoxillin, largely because it has been over-prescribed in the past. Will not work & thus symptoms persist if bacteria are resistant or if symptoms due to viral condition. Need urine culture with sensitivities if problem is UTI, this will identify which antibiotic will be effective.Similarly, sputum culture for productive cough
