Sometimes suggest: Pleural thickening/effusion can be distinguished with CT scanning.Nodular pleural thickening, thickening > than 1 cm, involvement of mediastinal pleural surface, are highly suggestive of malignant pleural disease, either mesothelioma or metastases. Contrasted ,CT scans produce high-contrast images of affected areas to clearly show differences between normal and cancerous tissue.MRI adjunct to CT.
