Can stress cause higher serum light chain numbers? kappa slightly elevated (21.5), lambda normal, k/l ratio normal. kappa, lambda, k/l ratio in urine all normal. no m protein observed. i have stress and anxiety..just wondering if this could affect.

Ignore this test: The test for serum free light chains has a very limited role and what your described, more than once, is no cause for concern.

My total protein had been increasing, so my dr had me test for multiple myeloma. Protein had come down to normal,no m-spike observed, everything normal except a slightly elevated kappa of 21.5 in serum (but normal in urine). Could I still have cancer?
