A member asked:

I have a visible vein on my left temple area close to the surface of the akin. could it be temporal arthritis? it throbs sometimes but isnt painful to press on. i am 30 years old.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Visible veins will appear blueish. Temporal arteritis (TA) is an inflammatory problem with the artery; arteries are not generally visible. Symptoms of TA include headache in the general area of the temple, vision change, and sometimes shoulder pain/stiffness. If those symptoms develop, please be seen.
