Simple: It is a cosmetical issue not a disease if we are talking vein. One has to be careful as the temporal artery is there too and one can easily confuse between the two, the artery will pulsate not the vein. I have taken care of many of these cases as veins can be closed with sclerotherapy. No artery should be injected as skin can slough off!

Normal finding: The temporal arteries and temporal veins lie immediately adjacent to each other. During exercise or increased activity, the arteries will pulsate because of increased heart rate and flow of blood. The veins too can become distended. Many temporal vein enlargements are simply due to genetics. There is no danger from these temporal veins.
