Hard to discern: With no context (why were they checked) and no dynamics as to what were your previous counts it is almost impossible to further speculate. You should not be more concerned than your doc for the slight abnormalities described.

Any symptoms?: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, a platelet count of 116 is your normal and it is sufficient for normal blood clotting. Wish you good health!
