May not be related.: There are 2 kinds of phlebitis, superficial and deep. Superficial involves the superficial veins and usually has a tender palpable vein. Dvt involves the deeper veins and is associated with swelling and thigh or calf tenderness. Neither of these should cause red bumps. This could be related to either oral or topical medications that you may have taken. See a vein specialist.
