A member asked:

Is 1 year and 3 months of no change in lymph node long enough to rule out cancer? have had enlarged node since sep 2018. us last dec showed reactive node. could it randomly turn into cancer a year later?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Unchanged lymph nodes for more than a year are not consistent with cancer. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
