If lymphoma/leukemia is in an enlarged lymph node and my surgeon removed a normal sized (1cm) node next to the enlarged node is that enough to rule out cancer if its benign? he said the big one (3.5cm) is too risky to remove?

He did not remove but I assume he biopsied that big lymph node. Remove it or not does not change the treatment if it turns out cancer is confirmed.
