I met with a hematologist and they believe my dvt is related to my carpel tunnel surgery 2 years ago. they did not explain well and i am just wondering how they could be connected and if they are what the treatment is. ?

DVT prevention: Any surgery with general anesthesia carries at least a small risk of DVT. If you had a DVT at that time, you might be more susceptible to DVT now. Clarify with the hematologist if s/he meant this or some other connection. You don't provide nearly enough information to know whether you need treatment to prevent future DVT, such as an anticoagulant drug.
