Dvt and estrogen.: Taking oral birth control pills would increase your risk of developing DVT. Most likely a hematologist would do an evaluation to see if you are prone to develop clots (hypercoagulable). If you are prone to develop clots then taking BCP's would not be a good idea. If you are not prone then a lower dose birth control pill may be more prudent.
