Complex answer: The use of systemic Estrace at age 66 is dependent upon several factors. No evidence of breast cancer(or ovarian cancer if the ovaries were not removed at the hysterectomy.) Symptoms that would benefit the use of the hormones other than a "heart" . Local vaginal Estrace may be possible. You need to see a GYN MD and discuss all of these concerns with him/her to make an informed decision
