Does a women need estradiol in her body? i had a total hysterectomy doctor took my ovaries she said they were small and atrophic what does this mean? dont i need estrogen?

Atrophic ovaries: Are you menopausal? When we reach menopause our ovaries stop making significant estrogen/ progesterone and they atrophy, so it is not unusual. Without estrogen there is increased risk of osteoporosis and some women have symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings. and take hormone replacement .
