A member asked:

During perimenopause can your fsh level fluctuate in and out of menopause ranges? mine was 53.2 but im still having periods every few months.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Period flow can : happen from ovulation, or excessive buildup of uterine lining. If the buildup is occurring this can result in some abnormal cells developing over time. See your doctor to consider progesterone treatment every 3 months or so, to thin the lining down to a safer level. Ultrasound can measure the uterine lining for excess thickness.
