Hi, i had my screening test done and my cholesterol levels were very high, what can i do to reduce it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diet/Meds: A good bit of cholesterol is related to genetics.High total cholesterol does not mean much without looking at HDL,LDL,VLDL Ratios.Exercise ,(decrease poly saturated and Hydrogenated fats) and (increasing mono saturated and polyunsaturated fats).Do those regardless but may also need meds.want HDL as high as possible and LDL/Triglycerides as low as possible.
