A good multi and...: Almost every vitamin and many minerals are needed for optimal immune function. We can get many from a healthy diet but the average person is deficient in many. Most important is D (which is low in almost everyone who does not supplement in winter), A, C, Zinc and B6, all commonly lacking. Take a quality multiple with extra C & D. Agree with Dr. F: Unless you have vitamin deficiency, taking vitamins or any other supplements will not improve your immune system. It is worth noting that stronger immune system is not necessarily a good thing as it can lead to auto-immune diseases. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.
