A member asked:

Baby is 5 months old and is extra clingy, refuses to go down for a nap during the day. at night she sleeps for a few hours. her head has been getting a bit warmer than normal, temperature is 37.2 degrees. could this be a symptom of teething?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not uncommon: Infants at that age often begin to be clingy as a developmental milestone where they realize their dependence, especially on their primary caregiver. I find it a good early indication their brain works well. It is not s defect or ominous sign. You can put her down & sit near talking or reading until she self settles. Don't rock or you will until she's 4. The cited temp is normal.
