Hello doctor, i've been having this mucus/phlegm around the throat area that everyday irritates me. is there a way i can get rid of this permanently?

May be strep, etc.: Nose and throat symptoms can be from cold viruses, strep throat, allergies, irritants, etc... Sometimes, it can be difficult to tell what the cause is. If symptoms only last 1-3 days, it's more likely allergies, irritation, or a mild cold. Doctors have rapid 5-minute tests for strep, so a primary care doctor can examine and diagnose what the cause most likely is.
