Burning: I don't think it's unusual to have such discomfort after bunionectomy but your podiatric surgeon is best qualified to answer your question and recommend pain relievers. Are you elevating the foot on a pillow when in bed?

I've had bunion surgery and a chilectomy within the past 2 years on my right foot. Before the chilectomy the bunion looked like it was returning. After the chilectomy it just looks worse. How is it coming back when so much of my bone is being cut off?
Doc says bunion not worth surgery, maybe in 10 yrs if gets worse. But I feel pain when I walk & at times pain feels like a strain, cant step on foot?
Considering 2nd toe amputation instead of bunion surgery to include shortening 2nd and 3rd toes. What are the negatives? Will bunion become worse?
