A member asked:

I've had bunion surgery and a chilectomy within the past 2 years on my right foot. before the chilectomy the bunion looked like it was returning. after the chilectomy it just looks worse. how is it coming back when so much of my bone is being cut off?

Like any surgery if you do not get at the cause of the problem the problem will re occur. Without X-rays and More history cannot give you a more precise answer. I would seek a second and third opinion. Bring your X-rays prior to surgery with you. If the the first metatarsal continue to drift medially removing the “ bump” alone will not resolve problem.
