Anxiety is about: feeling out of control or being unable to manage something--outside you, like a big event, or inside, like your emerging feelings, thoughts and memories. The latter three are more likely to surface at sleep onset because of the lessening of ego boundaries. Pay attention to your thoughts just before the onset of adrenaline and take them to a therapist.
