A member asked:

Pulsatile tinnitus goes when i do the valsalva manoeuvre. then i swallow and ears go back to normal and pulsatile tinnitus again. why??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pulsatile: Performing the valsalva maneuver slows the heart rate, lowers blood pressure and or blood flow in arteries and thereby reduces the force of the artery and arteriole pressure. When your pulse and blood pressure return to normal levels the pulsatile tinnitus again becomes more noticeable. A neurootolaryngologist could better advise you, however.
