My 5 year old son has a pain on the side of his groin area. it comes and goes and has been there for over three weeks. what could this be. i don't feel any lumps.

Left groin pain: F/u /w/ pediatric urologist as soon as possible. May be intermittent torsion ( twisting ) of testicle, May be hernia , not all may be absolutely visible initially. Please f/u /w/ urologist..

Hernia ?: Check his scrotum gently for bulges, will definitely need to be examined to rule out an inguinal hernia. Could be something less serious, but have your doctor or a pediatrician examine him to be sure, ASAP
