Flomax: Flomax simply relaxes the muscle at the outlet of the urinary bladder allowing better urine outflow. There is no anticancer property.

53 yr. old male/PSA 5.3. Urologists Digital rectal exam shows moderately enlarged prostate no lumps/nodules/hardening. Gave Flomax and retest PSA in 1 month. Urine/CBC normal. Can prostate cancer cause enlarged prostate without lumps, etc? Or BPH?

A week ago my local urologist found a nodule on my prostate, I have had an enlarged prostate for years, and I am taking Flomax. Also last week my PSA level was 4.89,I haven't had a PSA since 2013, but it is normally in the three level over five years ago
My husband takes 0.4 mg of Flomax for enlarged prostate. His PSA is well within normal range per his doctor. Are there any OTC medications or supplements as effective as Flomax that you would suggest ? Thank you?
