Need more info. : More information would be helpful for us in order to hazard a guess as to your diagnosis. Possibilities in this location include gastritis, ulcer, splenomegaly and muscular or skeletal pains. There are too many options to hazard a guess. Further investigation would be necessary into cause.

Just went to the hospital because I thought I had the stomach flu. Doc agreed but blood work came back and had very high lipase (242 U/L), doc said its not pancreatis because I dont have the symptoms like pain, liver also high. What can it be??

Nausea for 1.5mo, doc ordered serum amylase (normal at 40 U/L) & lipase, which was borderline low at 11 U/L (8-78 U/L reference range). Suggestive of chronic pancreatitis? Info online unclear about significance of borderline low lipase. Thanks?
