Blood test showed lipase levels slightly elevated. all else normal. what could cause the elevated result? was told its not enough to indicate pancreatitis. had blood in stool a month ago and ongoing left and right side abdominal/chest/back pain?

There are many other causes for a mildly elevated lipase other than pancreatitis. In your case, the reason for the bleeding, such as bowel inflammation, among others may be causing the elevated lipase. Your gastroenterologist remains your best reference in trying to sort it out.
