Can go up: Can go up to 1200mg 3x daily, however it would be wisest to do this under the suprevision of your GP rather than independently. May also if not wining be useful for you to have a clinical review - if the pain is abdominal some CF patients get pancreatitis and would be important to do lipase blood test to rapidly exclude this serious possibility. See doctor and all the best.

Pain: This service is meant to function as an emergency service and we would not change the dose of a chronic medicine nor are we allowed by the medical council to prescribe pain medication over the internet. This is obviously a complex issue and should be discussed with your prescribing physician.
